San Antonio restaurants offering Easter brunches, meal deals for this weekend

SAN ANTONIO – Now that Fiesta is over, it’s time for the next big spring celebration: Easter.

But if you’re not in the mood to throw an Easter feast for your family and friends, there are several options at restaurants in San Antonio.

Local restaurants offer Easter and Spring-themed brunches and specials on Saturday and Sunday.

Some locations include buffets — hooray for the bottomless mimosas — live music, egg hunts, and Easter Bunny photo opportunities.

Ambler Texas Cooking + Cocktails, 306 W. Market St.: Ambler hosts Sunday Easter Brunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entrees include steak and eggs, lobster benedict, prime rib hash, and a breakfast burger. Lorraine Bakerymultiple locations: The Lorraine bakery will start offering Easter-themed pastries in-store on Friday. Items can also be pre-ordered before noon on Wednesday for pick-up on Saturday or Sunday. The Easter menu includes the “Bunny Tart”, “Chick Tart” and “Chocolate Nest Tart” for $6 each, as well as “Easter Moonpies” for $4 and a 7-inch carrot cake for $65. Carrot cake is available for pre-order only. Customers can pre-order their items online now.

The boiler room, 312 Pearl Pkwy: Boiler House offers an Easter Party from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays. “This Easter Sunday, Chef Frank Hernandez of Boiler House has created a celebration in great detail for the whole family,” reads a press release. Brunch entrees include stuffed French toast, mixed berry salad, and open-faced tamales barbacoa, and dinner specials include Texas antelope fried steak. The good kind, 1127 S. St. Mary’s St.: The Southtown Restaurant is hosting an Easter celebration from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children, and the price includes access to a brunch buffet, pictures of Easter bunnies, live music, and half-price mimosa kits. The Shaking Hut, 10234 Highway 151: The Jerk Shack offers family packs that include 14 pieces of fried or jerk chicken, or a full rack of ribs. The packs include a macaroni and cheese casserole, pickled vegetables, fried plantains and sauces. The packs start at $75 and they will be available for pickup on Saturday or Sunday. SweetFire Kitchen at La Cantera Resort & Spa, 16641 La Cantera Pkwy: The restaurant organizes a family brunch including the Easter bunny for family photos. An Easter egg hunt will follow. Tickets are $75 for adults and $35 for children. For more information, click here.

Market St.: There will be a brunch buffet on Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The buffet will include bottomless mimosas, omelettes, French toast and carving stations.
