Russia’s Ukraine War Advantage To Be Held By NJ Rockers At The Strand Theater

The Jersey Shore rockers and more will take the stage for the Voices for Ukraine benefit concert at noon on Sunday, March 27 at the Strand Theater in Lakewood.

Eddie Testa, JT Bowen and the Wag are there, as are bluesman Joe Ferrara and his Killer Joe Band.

“They all give of their time and talent,” Cindy Zwicker of the Strand said via email. “There was no hesitation from anyone involved. They were on board in the blink of an eye.

The show will also feature an Irish pipe band and a Portuguese dance troupe. Reverend Waldermar Latkowski will lead the opening prayer and a Ukrainian church choir will sing the Ukrainian national anthem.

The Eddie Testa Band performed last year at Bar Anticipation in Lake Como.

The Lakewood Police Department will form an honor guard and the Lakewood Fire Department will display the American flag from an aerial fire truck.

The funds raised will be donated to the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, Province of Lviv, Ukraine; the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund; and Agudath Israel of America.
