Popular district of Bristol. Expansion of restaurant and bar
A popular Bristol Township restaurant and bar will be expanded in two phases.
Dog and Bull Brew and Music House on Route 13 near the intersection with Newportville Road in the Croydon section of the township won approval for the two-phase project earlier this month from Bristol Township Council.
The building will add a second floor to expand its kitchen over part of the facility and a new indoor seating area with a tower to anchor the building.
Company representatives said the kitchen, located closer to the station, will be expanded with the addition of the second floor. On the other side of the business, the temporary outdoor seating area will be converted into a new indoor seating area with the tower as the focal point.
“It’s a better look and a better presentation,” the attorney for Dog and Bull Brew and Music House told officials. “We are looking to improve it.”
The attorney said the township’s COVID-19 measures allow for the temporary outdoor seating area to be expanded. As the business has flourished, it is looking to incorporate the temporary seating area into the building envelope.
The addition of the new lounge area will also make it possible to have a space dedicated to catering.
The attorney said the existing parking lot should be acceptable as the company converts temporary seating to permanent seating.
Dog and Bull Brew and Music House opened in its current location about a decade ago. After several years, he overtook the barber shop next door and improved the exterior of the building.
Bristol Township Council Chairman Craig Bowen said the restaurant and bar were a big draw for the township and wished them well.
