Music lineup announced for Kerr Village Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Market

Kerr Village has announced its Friday night and Saturday afternoon music lineups for the 27th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Market on December 3-4.

This special weekend takes place in Westwood Park and includes a visit from Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves. There is also a tree lighting ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Visitors will also be treated to appearances from a wader, Elsa the Snow Princess, Olaf the Snowman and balloon elves on Saturday.

Here is the artists’ program:

• The Jim Cuddy Band will perform at 8 pm on Friday December 3rd.

• Prior to Cuddy’s performance, Eclectic Revival, a Canadian folk / Celtic group from Brampton and Hamilton, will perform at 5 pm. Vanessa Marie Carter, a former Oakville resident who now lives in Tennessee to pursue her music career, takes the stage at 6:20 p.m.

• On Saturday December 4th, just after the holiday market opens at noon, Victorian Christmas carols will begin the afternoon musical entertainment.

• Andy G and Friends, with a recently released children’s album, “Our Cat Flash,” will entertain at 1:00 pm, followed by the T&J team’s presentation of “Tinsel & Jingle,” an interactive family musical featuring the emphasis on diversity and unification, 2 p.m.

• Saturday’s programming continues with Jack and Cosima Grunsky, a father-daughter duo presenting an interactive children’s show at 3 p.m.

• Tribute singer Shania Twin takes the stage at 5:00 p.m., followed by the Hamilton Freedom Train at 6:20 p.m.

• At 8 pm, the tribute groups AbbaMania and Night Fever, Abba and Bee Gees close the musical entertainment.
