New for 2021 are COVID-19 protocols. After a remote convention only in 2020, this year returns to in-person panels with requirements for indoor masks, attendance ceilings, reduced panel room capacities, and strengthened cleaning protocols.
Beyond mask protocols, the most notable impact of COVID-19 precautions will be parade changes (only pass holders will be able to attend the parade in person this year) and the elimination of passes. one-day Saturday and on-site shopping pass throughout the convention. All passes must be purchased online.

For fans who can’t attend in person, you can live stream Dragon Con Goes Virtual for the in-home viewing price of $ 10.
âLast year 600,000 people looked at our individual panels that we presented and we touched six continents, unfortunately not Antarctica. And we also continue to do the virtual show for people who cannot attend. There’s a lot going on, âsaid Dan Carroll, director of media engagement.

Dragon Con sells a variety of membership passes, including an âEternalâ option for $ 3,500. And in an effort to reduce crowds and increase social distancing, passes won’t be sold onsite in 2021. Memberships are available for purchase online through Growtix.
While passes are still available, you can opt for the five-day membership for $ 140, or choose from day passes at reduced rates. There will be no membership sale on Saturdays only. One-day badges will only be available on Thursday ($ 20), Friday ($ 50), Sunday ($ 60) and Monday ($ 40).
Whatever the date of your arrival at the convention, your badge is essential. You will need to wear it for your entire stay, and if you lose it, you will need to buy a new one.
Unless you are staying at a downtown hotel or live downtown, MARTA, Uber, and Lyft are highly suggested. If you’re using MARTA, the Peachtree Center station will put you right in the middle of the action.
If public transportation and carpooling aren’t for you, Dragon Con recommends that you book your parking in advance through the ParkMobile or Spot Hero parking reservation apps. See the Dragon Con Transportation page for more travel information, including parking.
