Apple and Major League Baseball Announce July Friday Night Baseball Schedule

Apple and Major League Baseball (MLB) today announced the Friday Night Baseball schedule for July 2022. Scheduled games can still be viewed for free, only on Apple TV+.

“The 2022 season is off to a great start, and we’re proud to offer all baseball fans a new way to watch their favorite teams every week, all without local blackout dates or the need for a cable subscription,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of services. “‘Friday Night Baseball’ brings the best of design and Apple’s commitment to the highest quality experience, along with the centuries-old traditions of MLB, and we look forward to bringing fans more great games to watch all summer long.”

Game assignments for “Friday Night Baseball” broadcasters will be announced on a weekly basis.

Live “Friday Night Baseball” pre-game and post-game coverage will continue to be hosted by Lauren Gardner, along with a rotating panel of analysts and former MLB players, including Carlos Peña, Cliff Floyd and Yonder. Alonso, and former MLB umpire Brian Gorman will continue to offer analysis and interpretation of the rules.

Fans can access “Friday Night Baseball” games and additional content, including exclusive new programs such as “Countdown to First Pitch” for a preview of the week’s games and “MLB Daily Recap”, only in the Apple TV app.

In Apple News, fans can easily follow their favorite teams and watch personalized MLB highlights right in the News app. Every Friday, fans can enjoy a curated group of highlights and stories from across the league, and easily tap to watch “Friday Night Baseball” right in the Apple TV app.

In Apple Music, fans can find weekly exclusive playlists of hitting songs from teams featured on “Friday Night Baseball,” as well as a collection of classic songs celebrating baseball.

“Friday Night Baseball” games are available to anyone with internet access on all devices where Apple TV+ can be found, including the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HD, and on tv.apple.com, as well as with smart TVs, game consoles and cable boxes. Users can follow step by step instructions to access “Friday Night Baseball” on all devices. “Friday Night Baseball” includes live pre-game and post-game shows and is available on Apple TV+ in the US, Canada, Australia, Brazil, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea and in the UK, and for a limited time, without the need for a subscription.
